In 1492, Colombus initiated a chain of events that would bring mass genocide and ecological destruction to the new world. It would also lead to the foundation of the USA armed with a concept of manifest destiny that would mean scores of military interventions, slaughter and suffering across the globe.
We will gather at the U.S. Embassy on Colombus Day Monday Oct. 11th. to remember those who have suffered and continue to suffer - from the Iriqois to Iraqis
