Vigil for people of new orleans and Iraq Tell Bush and Bertie: people before war Wednesday 14th September 5.30pm O Connell Bridge US military out of Shannon contact 086 1523542 South City against War In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, thousands remain stranded in New Orleans and need to be airlifted but The National Guard Soldiers (who signed up for helping with National Disasters) & all the military helicopters are in Iraq. These planes that should be transporting thousands from certain death are instead reigning death on thousands more in Iraq. All the while stopping off in Shannon Airport to re-fuel & making a mockery of our so called neutrality. Ahern is complicit with Bush's war agenda. Come along to our Anti War Vigil on Wednesday & sign the petition calling for support for people for New Orleans, troops out of Iraq and an end to our airport being used for war.
