BRIGADISTA Bob Doyle, Irish vet of Spanish Civil War- NUI Galway

BRIGADISTA public meeting

Now aged 91, and 70 years after fighting in the Spanish Civil War, guest speaker Bob Doyle is the only surviving Irish veteran to have joined the international brigades against Francos fascists.

Bob will address this free public meeting, along with Harry Owens, co-author of his book Brigadista.

The short film Spanish Earth made during the 1930s by Ernest Hemingway & Orson Wells will also be shown.
