Cork Anti-War Picket Against UK Warship, Tuesday, 20th February

 

A British Royal Navy gunboat, HMS Severn, is due to dock in Cork City next Tuesday (20th February) and the captain will pay a 'courtesy' visit to the Labour lord mayor of the city.

 

As Britain is currently actively involved in the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan, the Cork branch of Anti-War Ireland will be mounting a picket against the presence of this ship of death. The British imperialist war machine is as unwelcome in Irish ports as the US war machine is at Shannon airport.

 

Please join the picket and show your opposition to the presence of this British gunboat.

 

When: 5pm to 7pm, Tuesday, 20th February.
