Update/Correction
This event has been posted on the website several days ago, under the auspices of the Drogheda Anti-war Group.
Several complaints have been received by email to the group, by people who felt it was inappropriate for the group to promote an event organised by a political party. The group have discussed these complaints, and wish to state that the meeting was posted not to promote the views of any political party, but to tell anti-war protesters that Richard Boyd Barrett, Chairperson of the IAWM, would be speaking at an event in town.
The group has taken a decision that in the future, specific party political events will not be promoted through email or websites, and wishes to apologise to anyone who felt annoyed by this posting. The Drogheda Group wishes to state clearly, that it is not aligned with any political party, but is an alliance of all those who are opposed to the war on Iraq, and all are welcome to join the group. The group meets every Tuesday in Drogheda At 8pm, and holds a vigil/leaflet handout outside St Peters Church West St, Drogheda, every Thursday.
