Dublin Film Screening: Jerusalem: East Side Story Sun 22 Feb 2009 7.30pm In 1948 the western part of Jerusalem, capital city of Palestine, was capturedby zionists; in 1967 the eastern part was taken into Israeli occupation. Sincethen Israel has pursued "Jewish demographic superiority" in Jerusalem,as elsewhere, driving out Muslims and Christians and denying their history,identity, and land rights. This film includes interviews with Palestinianpeople, Israeli settlers, and human rights activists. Freda Hughes of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign will introduce the film. Start: 20:15

Protest Meeting at Eircom HQ (near Heuston Station) - Tue 24th Feb at 12.30pm Eircom plans to award a major contract to Israeli company Amdocs. This is despite the recent murderous Israeli assault on Gaza, which claimed the lives of over 1,300 people, including more than 300 children. Israel has shown a blatant disregard for international law and the norms of civilised behaviour. Protest against this to show your opposition to Eircom’s “Business As Usual” attitude.
