There will be a Gathering of Women At Shannon Airport For the sixth year of the Women’s peace camp.
This year the camp will be part of the international women's day celebrations and will be held from 2 pm on SAturday MARCH 6th, ending with an action-rally at 2pm Sunday March 7th.
(Children & Men are Welcome. Sorry, No Dogs.)
The camp will be set up adjacent to the small roundabout just before the airport entrance (gantry).
- Drumming, Knitting, Storytelling, Patchwork-quilting.
- A Spring Cleanout to use up all our Bits & Pieces, Shreds & Patches.
End Ireland’s complicity in the oppression of Afghan Women.

LoveMusic HateRacism kick's off European Week Against Racism with a gig at Le Cirk,Dame St,Dublin 2 on Saturday 13th March.European Week Against Racism(EWAR) runs from 13th to 21st March, where thousands of people actively engage in activities to promote and celebrate equal rights and the diversity of Europe. The week centres around 21 March which was declared International Day for the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination by the United Nations as a response to the murder of 69 anti-apartheid demonstrators in Sharpeville, South Africa in 1960.
This year LoveMusic HateRacism be kicking EWAR off on the 13th of March @ Le Cirk, Dame St , Dublin 2. And with 3 floors of live music and Djs,and a little spoken work ,it's promising to to be a real celebration of music and diversity.

Galway Alliance Against War marks 7th anniversary of Iraq War - relaunch of Black Shamrock
Meet at the Wilde Statues, top of Shop Street, Galway city at 6.15pm on Friday 19th March.
Friday 19th 2010 is the 7th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq and the beginning of seven years of occupation and suffering for the country and its people. Recalling that the attack was based on lies about weapons of mass destruction and links with Al-Qaeda, the number of Iraqis slaughtered since the U.S.forces invaded currently stands at 1,366,350. Approximately 15% of the population are still displaced from their homes. Public health, electricity, sanitation and water services are inadequate. The country is a very dangerous place to live.
Galway Alliance Against War will mark this terrible anniversary by re-launching the black shamrock badge. The peace group will unfurl a large image of the black shamrock in Galway city centre on Friday with information leaflets available on the Irish government's collaborative role in the War Of Terror. There will also be black shamrock badges available, designed as a way of visibly declaring opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the wars now encroaching on Pakistan. The Black Shamrock badges have been spotted in many countries and across the continents.

On Saturday 27th March the Dublin IPSC's monthly Boycott & Divestment action will focus on Veolia (the operators of the LUAS and several waste management projects) who are complicit in the building of a colonial-settler only light rail system in occupied East Jerusalem and who operate an Israeli landfill in the West Bank.

On the evening of Tuesday 30th March the IPSC in Dublin will commemorate Palestinian Land Day by holding a solidarity picket outside the GPO on O'Connell Street from 5 - 7pm. This year we will be marking the continued Palestinian resistance to Israel's ongoing ethnic cleansing and land theft operations in Palestine. We ask you to join us for a couple of hours to stand in solidarity with the residents of Sheikh Jarrah, Bil'in, Nil'in, Neve Tirtze, Iraq Bourin, ‘Awarta (the latter two villages saw the murder of 4 Palestinians by the Israeli army over the weekend) and the many other towns and villages resisting colonisation by the Israeli State.
